Tim's links...
Dan Bern: I went to college (Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin) with Dan Bern. A good friend of mine was his freshman section counselor. It was thirty one years ago and he as already doing his Bob Dylan schtick. He still is, but has written some fantastic songs, including one of the most interesting ever recorded, in my view: I Met God. Give it a listen. Alice Peacock: Alice Peacock is also a Lawrence grad and does some beautiful music. Definitely listen to her. Minor Chaos: This is the web site for the band that started it all, with my son, Kenny, and John's son, Patrick. Halo web page: Under construction. My son T.J.'s band plays with John's son, John William. The little guys can rock! Kellogg School of Management: Best business school in the world. Accept no substitutes Bonnie Raitt: Favorite vocalist of all time. Like her old stuff best, but if she sings something, it is worth hearing. Jim's links... I am a recovering gear slut and so my links reflect my obsessions. Here are a few for your consideration. DR. Z Amplification: Kick-ass boutique amplifier maker whose stellar work is not in my collection yet. SawStudio: DAW software that is one of the slickest and tightest examples of coding you will find. This is the work of a genius. Don Grosh Custom Guitars: I have a couple of Dons guitars and they are very, very nice. Small builder, not well known but the real deal. Robben Ford: This guy is sick. If I could actually play the guitar like I hear it in my head- this would be how it sounds. matchlessamps.com: I have an SC30 that I use frequently and I love it. These are also the real deal. Built like a tank too. Klon Centaur Professional Overdrive: This is one of my secret weaponpedals that has permanent residency on my pedal board. Its that good. Steve's links... Cover Bands: It is one of the leading band sites on the net. It gives vast information on audio recordings, bands, concerts, fundraisers, etc. Elton John: Elton is one of my favortie artists and I like to keep current on his music and find out what he is up to. John's links... My Skadden web page; gotta pay the bills; best law firm in the world. John Alagia: My phenomenally successful college band mate [Idle Minds]; producer to Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and others; Grammy Award nominee in 2006. Minor Chaos: My son Patrick's band; plays with Tim's son, Kenny; my retirement plan. Halo web page: still under construction, my son John William's band; plays with Tim's son, T.J.; I am their Reuben Kincaid The Beatles: Need I say more to the four that started it all? Angie's links... My recent performances with the Bob Gand Smooth Jazz Band. Here is another one. The Highland Pops: Another big band I sing with in Highland Park. Tommy Gun's Garage: where I used to sing in my early, pre-children days. Gary's links... Yes, paying the bills is important. My new practice Forward Focus has allowed me to become more effective as a physician; at the best hospital around Lake Forest Hospital. My bass guitar idol is Victor Wooten. This guy is ridiculous. My local musical hero is Michael Coleman. I have had fun following Michael and his band for the past 17 years. I like the deep, rich tone of my American made Fender P-Bass. |
