 In the fall of 2007, NfP took a break from their grueling concert schedule to get into the studio and record some of their favorite covers. The booked some time at Abbey Road West Studios (in Jim Fitch's basement in Lake in the hills, but believe me, the spirit of George Martin and the fab four were definitely present!). With just one take and and no post-recording processing needed (seriously, Jim was just packaging the product for the subsequent couple months!) we put together our demo disk. The six tunes we recorded in those to-be-famous recording sessions are recorded to the MP3 player below. After this page loads a random cut will perform from our playlist. You can, of course, select any other cut by using the slider on the right of the player, repeat a cut, turn volume up or down AND by clicking the yellow down facing arrow you can download any of our tunes. We hope you enjoy the music and appreciate that you were there at the beginning of the NfP revolution!

Dan Bern: I went to college (Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin) with Dan Bern. A good friend of mine was his freshman section counselor. It was thirty one years ago and he as already doing his Bob Dylan schtick. He still is, but has written some fantastic songs, including one of the most interesting ever recorded, in my view: I Met God. Give it a listen. This is the work of a genius. Don Grosh Custom Guitars: I have a couple of Dons guitars and they are very, very nice. Small builder, not well known but the real deal. Robben Ford: This guy is sick. If I could actually play the guitar like I hear it in my head- this would be how it sounds. matchlessamps.com: I have an SC30 that I use frequently and I love it. These are also the real deal. Built like a tank too. Klon Centaur Professional Overdrive: This is one of my secret weaponpedals that has permanent residency on my pedal board. Its that good. Steve's links... It gives vast information on audio recordings, bands, concerts, fundraisers, etc. Elton John: Elton is one of my favortie artists and I like to keep current on his music and find out what he is up to.
